About Easyink Printer Cartridges

Easyink Printer Cartridges is a specialist distributor of Inkjet Cartridges, Toner Cartridges, Thermal Fax Ribbons etc for laser printers, inkjet printers, fax machines, and other office equipment. Our office is in Palmerston North and most of our products are currently shipped from Glenfield in Auckland.

Our mission is to develop and continuously improve a fast and intuitive on-line store that will consistently deliver the right printer cartridge - promptly, predictably and professionally. We will be attentive to the needs of our customers, suppliers, employees and shareholders.

Our vision is to be the printer consumables on-line store of choice for New Zealanders, providing content of interest to our users and a fast and intuitive purchasing process.

Easyink Printer Cartridges is an on-line trading name of Encore Imaging Technologies Limited, a business established in 1990 and trading initially as `Ribbon Renew` next to the Lychway Chapel on Princess Street, Palmerston North.

Those were the days when most printers used dot-matrix ribbons and we were kept busy loading new inked ribbon into the discarded cassettes for corporate and home users alike. HP Deskjet mono ink-jet printers cost NZ$1500 back then, and consumables were more expensive than they are today. Customers brought their black ink cartridges in to be refilled while they waited, and many asked us to fill their mono cartridges with coloured ink!

An important part of our business was the remanufacture of laser printer cartridges, with Massey University being our largest customer. This was also done in-house until the late 1990s when out-sourcing became more cost-effective. Our experience in the industry enables us to monitor the remanufacturing process and to put quality systems in place, which gives us an advantage in the marketplace.

In 2004 work began on this Easyink Printer Cartridges e-commerce website when we discovered that procurement costs for some corporate clients could exceed the purchase price of a printer cartridge! Our Massey University users could no longer use their order books and were issued with credit cards so the pressure was on...

After switching to online ordering our customers report substantial savings because credit card real-time purchasing facilities means personnel only have to think about the transaction once. A buyer can see the product and the price on the screen, place the order, pay for it, and print out the invoice - all within a few seconds! Money is transferred from your account to ours via secure encryption virtually instantaneously.

(Having said that, some customers prefer to pay by internet banking and some schools and corporates still like to use order books. The checkout can accommodate those preferences.)

In designing this website our goal has been to make printer cartridge ordering quick and easy for busy people. We want our users to have maximum control over their buying experience. We want them to shop with confidence, knowing they'll receive exactly what they're promised.
